it really works if you dont encase it in ice (duh!)....but you've only got a window of about 10-15 minutes. we've had to do it at work before. but still, i lol'd

Now, here's the best part about that thread. It was found while researching a problem at work this weekend. Apparently the console with an ATX box in it has a temperature problem when the anti-condensation heaters turn on. (Don't ask just go with it.), The bottom of the ATX goes from ~90F to 205F within an hour tops. Obviously we see hard drive failures due to excessive temp rise per hour of the drives when they aren't operating. hmmm...maybe I should encase them in ice it may actually help.
